Chairman Makoto Nakao receives the 13th Eiichi Shibusawa Award of Saitama prefecture, Tokyo, Japan

The award is given to business leaders who represent the spirit of Eiichi Shibusawa, the great man from Fukaya city, Saitama prefecture, who formed the core of Japanese industry and the economy of modern Japan from the end of the Edo era to the turbulent Meiji era, and top managers who conduct superior business and social contribution activities. This time, Yutaka Oda, the president of confectionary manufacturing company ROKKA TEI Confectionary Co., LTD. in Obihiro city, Hokkaido prefecture, and our chairman Makoto Nakao were chosen to receive the award.

The reason for the award was Nakao’s contributions towards not only business expansion into Europe and Asia but also to international aid to support activities in a positive manner, including the provision of dental materials to treat thousands of children in Vietnam.

The award ceremony was held on February 3, 2015.
